Passionate about design:
As part of our proactive CSR strategy, we entered The Prince’s Trust Million Makers challenge. This charity scheme encourages UK organisations to use their business acumen in particular to create a mini fundraising enterprise. We were keen to translate our creative talents into as much profit for the charity as possible. Hence we created The Celebrity Cookbook.
Showcasing our talents:
The idea was simple, by adding our own twist to the project, we developed it into something quite unique. Using our industry contacts, we requested recipes for The Prince’s Trust from over 60 celebrities. From Amanda Holden and Gary Lineker to David Cameron and Arnold Schwarzenegger, the response was fantastic. To help develop links within the local community we commissioned Leeds City College students to create each recipe. We then photographed and featured each of these recipes in the finished book.
Translating design into sales success:
Having surprisingly sold 1,600 copies in advance, our initial 5,000 print run was quickly doubled. You can buy the Celebrity Cookbook online via The Prince’s Trust website as well as Amazon.
It was also arranged for the book to be sold nationwide on the high street by our sales team. You can buy The Celebrity Cookbook in Waterstones, WHSmiths, John Lewis, Harvey Nichols and Foyles.
